Frequently Asked Questions

  • My current rates are $200 for a 50 minute session with adults, and $250 for a 50 minute session with adolescents. I also have sliding scale spots available for clients where paying a/the full fee would create financial hardship. Please feel free to enquire about a potential sliding scale spot if you need!

  • Unfortunately, I cannot accept insurance at this time. I do offer super billing services for my clients, which can be submitted to insurance companies for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan and coverage.

  • Many insurance companies offer plans that include reimbursement for out of network services (I am inherently out of network, as I cannot accept insurance). With OON benefits and providers, you pay the provider upfront and your insurance company then provides reimbursement for a part of the cost, depending on your current coverage/policy. The percentage of the cost varies by insurance company and plan. I always advise checking your plan’s OON benefits if you are planning on filing for reimbursement!

I’m also happy to help clients file their first reimbursement request during a session, if helpful.

  • Most insurance companies require you to call to learn more details about OON benefits. Below are some questions that might be helpful to ask:

    1. Do I have out of network benefits?

    2. What is the reimbursement rate for CPT code 90834 (a 45/50 minute therapy session)?

    3. What is my deductible and how much has been met? How much needs to be met to receive reimbursement?

    4. Do I need pre-authorization to see an out-of-network provider?

    5. How do I submit claims for reimbursement and what documentation is needed?

  • Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice will incur a 50% session fee; appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice will be responsible for the full session fee. If we are meeting via telehealth, I will remain on the platform for 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment/session time prior to considering the session missed and charging the fee.

I do my best to reschedule appointments within the same week and I work with clients to be as flexible as possible to provide care.

  • I offer telehealth sessions via HIPAA compliant Zoom, or in person at an office in Brooklyn or an office in Manhattan. I also offer the option for shifting between in person and telehealth sessions as needed.

  • The first step is to reach out and schedule a consultation call (you can reach me at the “Contact Me” button below!) The consultation call is a free, 15-20 minute call where we’ll discuss what you’re looking for from therapy, from a therapy provider, and what my approach and experience is. If it feels like a good fit, we can discuss scheduling and next steps, and will go from there!
